ఈ తంత్రముల ప్రకారము - మధ్యదేశాదులలో జనించిన ద్విజుడు దేవతాగ్రహముల ప్రతిష్ఠ చేయవలెను. కచ్ఛదేశము, కావేరీతటవర్తిదేశము, కోంకణదేశము, కామరూప-కలింగ-కాంచీ-కాశ్మీరదేశములు-వీటియందుపుట్టిన బ్రాహ్మనుడు దేవ ప్రతిష్ఠాదికము చేయరాదు. ఆకాశము, వాయువు, తేజస్సు, జలము, పృథివి అను మహాభూతములే పంచరాత్రములు, చేతనాశూన్యములై, అజ్ఞానంధకారముచే కప్పబడినవి పంచరాత్రరహితములు, ''నేను పాపవిముక్తుడనైన పరబ్రహ్మను, విష్ణువును'' అను భావన కలవాడే దేశికుడు అగును. అతడు బాహ్యలక్షణములు వేషాదికము ఏవియు లేకున్నను తంత్రవేత్త యైన ఆచార్యుడుగా చెప్పబడినాడు.

Hayagriva said:

1. O Brahman! Listen to me speaking about the installation of (images of) Viṣṇu and others. (The principles of) Pañcarātra[1] and Saptarātra have (already) been described by me.

2-5. They have been divided by the sages into twenty-five (books) in this world. Hayaśīrṣa tantra is the first one. Trailokyamohana, Vaibhava, Pauṣkara, Prahlāda, Gārgya, Gālava, Nāradīya, Śrīpraśna, Śāṇḍilya, Aiśvara, spoken by Satya, Śaunaka, Vāsiṣṭha, Jñānasāgara, Svāyambhuva, Kāpila, Tārkṣya, Nārāyaṇīyaka, Ātreya, Nārasiṃha, Ānanda, Aruṇa, Baudhāyana, and the one spoken by Viśva as the quintessence of that (the preceding), having eight parts (or the other books).

6-7. A brahmin born in the middle country may perform installation (rite). Those who were born in Kaccha (Cutch), (in the regions of the river) Kāverī, Koṅkaṇa, Kāmarūpa, Kaliṅga, Kāñcī, Kāśmīra, Kosala should not (do installation). The sky, wind, radiance, water, and earth are the pañcarātra.

8. Those other than the pañcarātra are inanimate and engulfed in darkness. He is the preceptor who has the knowledge “I am brahman and stainless Viṣṇu”.

*దీపావళి అమావాస్య తరువాత వచ్చే కార్తీక శుద్ధ చతుర్థిని నాగుల చవితి పండుగ అంటారు. కొందరు శ్రావణ శుద్ధ చతుర్థినాడు జరుపుకుంటారు. ప్రకృతి మానవ మనుగడకు జీవనాధరమైనది కనుక దానిని దైవ స్వరూపంగా భావించి మన పూర్వీకులు చెట్టును, పుట్టను, రాయిని, రప్పను, కొండను, కోనను, నదిని, పర్వతాన్ని,పామును - ఇలా సమస్త ప్రాణికోటిని దైవస్వరూపంగా చూసుకొంటూ! పూజిస్తూ వస్తున్నారు. ఇదే మన భారతీయ సంస్కృతిలోని విశిష్టత. నిశితంగా పరిశీలిస్తే ... అందులో భాగంగానే ' నాగుపాము" ను కూడా నాగరాజుగా, నాగదేవతగా పూజిస్తూ వస్తున్నారు.*

*మన పురాణాలలో నాగుల చవితి గురుంచి ఎన్నో గాథలు ఉన్నాయి. దేశమంతట పలు దేవాలయల్లో మెలికలతో ఉన్న నాగేంద్రుని విగ్రహాలు కనిపిస్తూ ఉంటాయి. ఈ నాగుల చవితి నాడు నాగేంద్రుని శివభావముతో అర్పిస్తే సర్వరోగాలు పోయి సౌభాగ్యవంతులవుతారని భారతీయుల నమ్మకం.*

*ఈ మానవ శరీరమనే పుట్టకు తొమ్మిది రంధ్రాలు ఉంటాయి. వాటినే నవరంధ్రాలు అంటూ ఉంటారు. మానవ శరీరంలో నాడులతో నిండివున్న వెన్నెముకను ' వెన్నుబాము' అని అంటారు. అందు కుండలినీశక్తి మూలాధారచక్రంలో "పాము" ఆకారము వలెనే వుంటుందని "యోగశాస్త్రం" చెబుతోంది. ఇది మానవ శరీరంలో నిదురిస్తున్నట్లు నటిస్తూ! కామ, క్రోధ, లోభ, మోహ, మద, మాత్సర్యాలనే విషాల్ని గ్రక్కుతూ, మానవునిలో ' సత్వగుణ' సంపత్తిని హరించి వేస్తూ ఉంటుందని అందుకు ' నాగుల చవితి రోజున ప్రత్యక్షంగా విషసర్ప పుట్టలను ఆరాధించి పుట్టలో పాలు పోస్తే మానవునిలో ఉన్న విషసర్పం కూడా శ్వేతత్వం పొంది, అందరి హృదయాలలో నివశించే ' శ్రీమహావిష్ణువు" నకు తెల్లని ఆదిశేషువుగా మారి శేషపాన్పుగా మారాలని కోరికతో చేసేదే ... ఈ నాగుపాము పుట్టలో పాలు పోయుటలోగల అంతర్యమని చెప్తారు.*

*నాగుల చవితి రోజు ఆవు పాలు పుట్టలో పోసి నాగపూజచేసి చలిమిడి, చిమ్మిలి (నువ్వులతో చేస్తారు) అరటిపళ్ళు, తాటి బుర్రగుంజు , తేగలు మున్నగున్నవి నివేదన చేస్తారు. ఆ సందర్భంగా పుట్టవద్ద " దీపావళి" నాడు మిగిలిన మతాబులు, కాకరపువ్వొత్తులు, టపాసులు మొదలైనవి చిన్నపిల్లలు ఎంతో సంతోషంగా కూడా కాలుస్తారు. సాగరతీరంలో పుట్టలో కోడిగుడ్లను వేయడం ఆచారం. నాగరాజుకు హారతి పట్టడం గాని, వేడి పదార్థాల ఆరగింపు గాని పనికి రాదు.*

🌷. తాత్పర్యం :

*పూర్వజన్మపు దివ్యచైతన్య కారణముగా అతడు కోరకనే అప్రయత్నముగా యోగము వైపునకు ఆకర్షితుడగును. జిజ్ఞాసువైన అట్టి యోగి శాస్త్రములందు తెలుపబడిన కర్మనియమములకు సదా అతీతుడై యుండును.*

🌷. భాష్యము :

 ఉన్నతులైన యోగులు శాస్త్రములందు తెలుపబడిన కర్మల యెడ అంతగా ఆకర్షితులు కాక, ఉన్నతయోగ పూర్ణత్వమైన పూర్ణ కృష్ణభక్తిభావనకు తమను ఉద్దరింపచేసెడి యోగనియమముల వైపునకే అప్రయత్నముగా ఆకర్షితులగుదురు. ఉన్నతమైన యోగులు అట్లు వేదకర్మల యెడ చూపు ఉపేక్షను గూర్చి శ్రీమద్భాగవతము (శ్రీమద్భాగవతము 3.33.7) నందు ఈ విధముగా వివరింపబడినది.

అహో బత శ్వపచోతో గరీయాన్ యజ్జిహ్వాగ్రే వర్తతే నామ తుభ్యమ్ |

తేపు స్తపస్తే జుహువు: సస్నురార్యా బ్రహ్మానూచుర్నామ గృణన్తి యే తే 

“హే ప్రభూ! శునకమాంసమును భుజించు చండాలుర వంశమున జన్మించినను నీ పవిత్రనామములను కీర్తించువారు ఆధ్యాత్మికజీవనమున పురోగతి సాధించునట్టివారే. అట్టి భక్తులు అన్నిరకములైన తపస్సులను, యజ్ఞములను ఆచరించినట్టివారే. అన్ని తీర్థ స్థానములలో స్నానమాడినట్టివారే, సకల శాస్త్రాధ్యయనమును గావించినట్టివారే.”

శ్రీహరిదాసటాకూరును ముఖ్యశిష్యులలో ఒకనిగా స్వీకరించుట ద్వారా శ్రీచైతన్యమాహాప్రభువు ఈ విషయమున ఒక చక్కని ఉదాహరణమును నెలకొల్పిరి. హరిదాసటాకురు మహ్మదీయవంశమున జన్మించినను శ్రీచైతన్యమహాప్రభువు ఆయనను “నామాచార్యుని” స్థానమనకు ఉద్ధరించిరి. హరే కృష్ణ హరే కృష్ణ కృష్ణ కృష్ణ హరే హరే/ హరే రామ హరే రామ రామ రామ హరే హరే యను మహామంత్రము ద్వారా మూడులక్షల హరినామమును విడువక పట్టుదలతో ఆయన నిత్యము జపించుటయే అందులకు కారణము. 

హరినామమును నిరంతరము జపించుటను బట్టి శబ్దబ్రహ్మమని పిలువబడు వేదకర్మవిధానముల నన్నింటిని పూర్వజన్మమందే ఆయన పూర్తిచేసినట్లుగా అవగతమగుచున్నది. కనుకనే పవిత్రులు కానిదే ఎవ్వరును కృష్ణభక్తిరసభావనను స్వీకరించుట గాని, శ్రీకృష్ణుని పవిత్రనామమైన హరేకృష్ణ మాహామంత్రం జపకీర్తనములందు నియుక్తులగుట గాని సంభవించును.

*🌴 Chapter 6 - Dhyana Yoga - 44 🌴*

*44. pūrvābhyāsena tenaiva hriyate hy avaśo ’pi saḥ*

*jijñāsur api yogasya śabda-brahmātivartate*

🌷 Translation : 

*By virtue of the divine consciousness of his previous life, he automatically becomes attracted to the yogic principles – even without seeking them. Such an inquisitive transcendentalist stands always above the ritualistic principles of the scriptures.*

🌹 Purport :

Advanced yogīs are not very much attracted to the rituals of the scriptures, but they automatically become attracted to the yoga principles, which can elevate them to complete Kṛṣṇa consciousness, the highest yoga perfection. In the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (3.33.7), such disregard of Vedic rituals by the advanced transcendentalists is explained as follows:

aho bata śva-paco ’to garīyān yaj-jihvāgre vartate nāma tubhyam

tepus tapas te juhuvuḥ sasnur āryā brahmānūcur nāma gṛṇanti ye te

“O my Lord! Persons who chant the holy names of Your Lordship are far, far advanced in spiritual life, even if born in families of dog-eaters. Such chanters have undoubtedly performed all kinds of austerities and sacrifices, bathed in all sacred places and finished all scriptural studies.”

The famous example of this was presented by Lord Caitanya, who accepted Ṭhākura Haridāsa as one of His most important disciples. Although Ṭhākura Haridāsa happened to take his birth in a Muslim family, he was elevated to the post of nāmācārya by Lord Caitanya due to his rigidly attended principle of chanting three hundred thousand holy names of the Lord daily: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. And because he chanted the holy name of the Lord constantly, it is understood that in his previous life he must have passed through all the ritualistic methods of the Vedas, known as śabda-brahma. Unless, therefore, one is purified, one cannot take to the principles of Kṛṣṇa consciousness or become engaged in chanting the holy name of the Lord, Hare Kṛṣṇa.

*లోకమందలి జనము ఒకానొక ఉత్తమ వ్యక్తి ఆచరించు ఆచరణము నందలి ఉచితత్వమును గ్రహించి అట్లే తామును ఆచరించ దగిన దానినిగా ఆ ఆచరణమును స్వీకరించుటను 'లోక సంగ్రహము' అందురు.*

*బహువ్రీహి సమాస రూపముగ చూచిన - ఎవనిని ఉద్దేశించి యజ్ఞములను ఆచరించు గొప్ప యజమానులుగలరో అట్టివాడు మహాయజ్వా అని కూడా చెప్పదగును.*

*Mahaṃścāsau hariryajvā yajñān nirvartayan prabhuḥ,*

*Lokasya saṅgrahārthaṃ sa mahāyajveti kīrtyate.*

*Since He is a great yajvā i.e., the One who performs sacrifices in accordance to vedic rules, Lord Viṣṇu is called Mahāyajvā. Lord Viṣṇu in His incarnations like Śrī Rāma and Kr‌ṣṇa performed great Yajñas setting an example and hence He is Mahāyajvā.*

*When a great person performs a good deed, the world follows in his foot steps and this is called loka saṅgraha. To achieve loka saṅgraha i.e., to set a righteous path for the world to follow.*

*The name Mahāyajvā can also be interpreted as the One in whose honor great yajamānas perform vedic sacrifices.*

ఇట్లు జరుగగా ఒకప్పుడు శివపత్నియగు పార్వతీ దేవి మనస్సులో ఆలోచించెను. సర్వోత్కృష్టురాలగు ఆ పరమేశ్వరి మనస్సులో ఇట్లు తలపోసెను (18). సమర్థుడగు నా వ్యక్తి ఒకడు సేవకుడుగా నున్నచో చాల బాగుండును. అట్టి వ్యక్తి నా ఆజ్ఞను ఇసుమంతైననూ జవదాటకుండగా పాలించగలడు (19). ఆ దేవి ఇట్లు విచారించి తన శరీరమునుండి రాలిన నలుగుడు పిండితో లక్షణములన్నింటితో కూడిన పురుషుని నిర్మించెను (20). ఆతని అవయవములలో దోషమేమియూ లేకుండెను. అవయవములన్నయూ సుందరముగా నుండెను. సమర్థుడు, సర్వశోభలతో నిండియున్నవాడు అగు ఆ పురుషుడు మహాబలమును. పరాక్రమమును కలిగియుండెను (21).

ఆమె అపుడు ఆ పురుషునకు అనేక వస్త్రములు, అలంకారములను ఇచ్చి సర్వోత్తమమగు అనేక ఆశీర్వచనములను పలికెను (22). నీవు నా పుత్రుడవు. నీవు తక్క నావాడు మరియొకడిచట లేడు. పార్వతీదేవి ఇట్లు పలుకగా ఆ పురుషుడు నమస్కరించి ఇట్లు పలికెను (23).

గణశుడిట్లు పలికెను -

ఇపుడు నీకు చేయదగిన పనియేమి? నీ మాటను నేను నెరవేర్చెదను. ఆ పురుషుని ఈ మాటను విని పార్వతి తన ఆ పుత్రునికి ఇట్లు బదులిడెను (24).

పార్వతి ఇట్లు పలికెను -

ఓ పుత్రా! నా మాటను వినుము. ఇపుడు నీవు నా ద్వారమును రక్షించుము. నీవు నా పుత్రుడవు గనుక నా వాడవు. నీవు తక్క మరియొకడు నా వాడు లేడు (25). పుత్రా! ఎవ్వరైననూ ఎప్పుడైననూ నా ఆజ్ఞ లేనిదే హఠాత్తుగా నా గృహములోపలికి రారాదు. నేను నీకు సత్యమును చెప్పు చున్నాను (26).

20. Thinking thus the goddess created a person with all the characteristics, out of the dirt[3] from her body.

21. He was spotless and handsome in every part of his body. He was huge in size and had all brilliance, strength and valour.

22-23. She gave him various clothes and ornaments. She blessed him with benediction and said—“You are my son. You are my own. I have none else to call my own”. Thus addressed the person bowed to her and said:—

Gaṇeśa said:—

24. “What is your order? I shall accomplish what you command.” Thus addressed, Pārvatī replied to her son.

Pārvatī said:—

25. “O dear, listen to my words. Work as my gatekeeper from today. You are my son. You are my own. It is not otherwise. There is none-else who belongs to me.

26. O good son, without my permission, no one, by any means, shall intrude my apartment. I tell you the fact.”

*🌻20. ప్రాణం యొక్క ఐదు విధులు🌻*

*మనిషిలోని మొత్తం సామర్థ్యానికి, వ్యక్తిత్వం యొక్క శక్తిని కలిపి ప్రాణశక్తి అంటారు. కానీ అది వివిధ విధులను నిర్వహిస్తుంది. ఒక వ్యక్తి అందరికీ న్యాయం జరిగేలా చూసినప్పుడు, అతన్ని న్యాయమూర్తి అంటారు; అతను జిల్లాకు ముఖ్య కార్యనిర్వహణాధికారిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు, అతన్ని కలెక్టర్ అని పిలుస్తారు; అతను రుగ్మతలకు ఔషధం ఇచ్చినప్పుడు, అతన్ని వైద్యుడు అని పిలుస్తారు మొదలైనవి. ఒకే వ్యక్తిని అతను చేసే విధులను బట్టి వేర్వేరు పేర్లతో పిలుస్తారు. ప్రాణశక్తి కూడా అలా ఐదు విధులను నిర్వర్తిస్తుంది. ఒకరు ఊపిరి బయటకు వదిలినపుడు నిశ్వాసము రూపంలో ప్రాణం పనిచేస్తోంది. ప్రాణం అనే పదం ద్వంద్వ అర్థంలో ఉపయోగించబడింది. ఇది నిశ్వాసను సూచిస్తుంది మరియు వ్యవస్థ యొక్క మొత్తం శక్తిని కూడా సూచిస్తుంది. కాబట్టి, ప్రాణం అంటే రెండు విషయాలు - నిశ్వాసలో శ్వాసను బయటకు పంపే శక్తి మరియు మొత్తం శక్తి కూడా.*

*శ్వాస పీల్చుకునే ఉచ్ఛ్వాస శక్తిని అపానశక్తి అంటారు. ప్రతి ధమని, సిర మరియు శరీరంలోని ప్రతి భాగం ద్వారా రక్తాన్ని సమానంగా ప్రసరించే శక్తిని వ్యానశక్తి అంటారు. శరీరంలోని ఏదైనా భాగాన్ని తాకినట్లయితే, ప్రతి ఇతర భాగంలో కూడా ఆ అనుభూతి చెందే విధంగా శరీరం ఇతర భాగాలకు అనుసంధానించ బడిందని తెలుసు. వ్యక్తిత్వం లోని ఒక ఏకత్వం కారణంగా వచ్చే ఈ అనుభూతికి శరీరమంతా వ్యాపించి ఉండే వ్యాన శక్తే కారణం. ఆహారాన్ని జీర్ణం చేసే శక్తిని సమాన శక్తి అంటారు. ఆహారాన్ని మింగాటానికి కారణమయ్యే మరొక శక్తి ఉంది. నోటిలోకి ఆహారాన్ని ఉంచినప్పుడు, అది ఆహారాన్ని మింగే గొంతు భాగం ద్వారా అన్నవాహికలోకి లోపలికి నెడుతుంది. ఇక్కడ ప్రాణశక్తి పనిచేస్తుంది. శరీరాన్ని నిలబెట్టి, నిటారుగా నిలబెట్టి, పడిపోకుండా చేసే శక్తిని ఉదానము అంటారు. నిద్రావస్థలో విశ్రాంతి దీని పనే.*

*The prana is a common name that is applied to the total capacity in man, the energy of the personality, but it performs different functions. When a man does the work of dispensing justice, he is called a judge; when he is a chief executive of a district, he is called a collector; when he dispenses medicine, he is called a physician, and so on. The same person is known by different names on account of the functions he performs. So is this prana, which performs five functions. When one breathes out there is exhalation, and prana is operating. Prana is a term that is used in a double sense. It indicates the exhaling force, and also the total energy of the system. So, prana means two things—the force that expels the breath out in exhalation, and also the total energy.*

*The force by which one breathes in is called apana. The force that circulates the blood through every artery, vein and every part of the body equally, is vyana. It is known that the body is connected to other parts in such a harmonious manner that if any part of the body is touched, the sensation is felt in every other part also. This sensation that is felt in every part, as a wholeness of one's personality, is due to the vyana operating, a particular aspect of the function of the energy which moves throughout the body equally. The energy that digests the food is called samana. There is another force which causes the deglutition of food. When food is put into the mouth, it is pushed inside to the oesophagus, through the part of the throat by which food is swallowed. Prana energy operates here. Udana is the power that keeps the body upright without fall. Its function is sleep.*

*కానీ నువ్వు వాటిని అరువు తెచ్చుకున్నావు. అవి నీ హృదయం నించీ వచ్చినవి కావు. వాటిల్లో నీ హృదయం స్పందన లేదు. వాటిల్లో నీ చేవ్రాలు లేవు. బుద్ధుని, కృష్ణుని మాటలైనా, పాటలయినా అవన్నీ అరువు తెచ్చుకున్నవే. అస్తిత్వాన్ని సమీపించడానికి ప్రాథమిక విధానమేమిటంటే ప్రతి మనిషి తన చైతన్యాన్ని పూల చెట్టులా ఎదిగేలా చేయాలి. మనిషిలో పూలు ప్రేమ పూలు, స్వాతంత్య్ర సుమాలు, ఆనంద సుమాలు. వాటిని నేను పాటలంటాను. నువ్వు నీ సంగీతాన్ని, ఆనందాన్ని ప్రేమని అస్తిత్వానికి సమర్పిస్తే వందరెట్లుగా అవి నీ మీద వర్షించడం చూసి ఆశ్చర్యపోతావు.*

*Fire is appreciated by its light and by its ability to cook, to digest, to destroy cold, to evaporate, and to give rise to hunger, thirst, eating and drinking.*

*The first symptoms of fire are distribution of light and heat, and the existence of fire is also perceived in the stomach. Without fire we cannot digest what we eat. Without digestion there is no hunger and thirst or power to eat and drink. When there is insufficient hunger and thirst, it is understood that there is a shortage of fire within the stomach, and the Āyur-vedic treatment is performed in connection with the fire element, agni-māndyam. Since fire is increased by the secretion of bile, the treatment is to increase bile secretion. The Āyur-vedic treatment thus corroborates the statements in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. The characteristic of fire in subduing the influence of cold is known to everyone. Severe cold can always be counteracted by fire.*

ప్రతిదినము యజ్ఞములు చేసి భగవదారాధన చేయువానికి లభించు ఫలమే విష్ణ్వాలయము నిర్మించినవానికి గూడ కలుగును. విష్ణ్వాలయము కట్టించినవాడు తన వంశము నందలి వెనుకటి నూరుగురిని, రాబోవు నూరుగురిని విష్ణలోకమునకు పంపును మహావిష్ణువు సప్తలోకమయుడు. అట్టి విష్ణుమూర్తికి ఆలయము కట్టించువాడు తన వంశమును తరింపచేయును. 

తన వంశీయులకు అక్షయపుణ్యలోక ప్రాప్తి కలుగు నట్లు చేయును. తాను కూడ అక్షయలోకములను పొందును. దేవాలయములోని ఇటుకల కట్టుబడి ఎన్ని సంవత్సరము లుండునో అన్ని వేల సంవత్సరములపాటు ఆ దేవాలయ నిర్మాత స్వర్గలోకములో నుండును. భగవత్ప్రతిమ నిర్మించినవాడు విష్ణులోకము చేరును. దానిని స్థాపించినవాడు భగవంతునిలో లీన మగును. దేవాలయము నిర్మించు దానిలో ప్రతిమాస్థాపన చేసినవాడు సర్వదా విష్ణులోకములో నివసించును."

అగ్నిదేవుడు పలికెను.: 

యమధర్మరాజు ఇచ్చిన ఈ ఆజ్ఞ ప్రకారము, యమదూతలు విష్ణస్థాపనాదిపుణ్యకార్యములు చేసినవారిని యమలోకమునకు తీసికొవివెళ్ళరు. దేవాలయాదిప్రతిష్ఠాదివిధానమును గూర్చి హయగ్రీవుడు బ్రహ్మతో విర్ణించి చప్పెను.

One who builds the temple of Viṣṇu gets that great benefit which (one would acquire) by doing sacrificial rites everyday. By building a temple for Viṣṇu (one) conveys hundreds of his discendants and hundreds of his ancestors to the world of Acyuta. 

Viṣṇu is identical with the seven worlds. One who builds a house for him saves the endless worlds and also obtains endlessness. One who builds (a temple) for him, lives for so many years in heaven as the number of years the set up bricks would remain. The maker of the idol (would reach) the world of Viṣṇu. One who consecrates it would get absorbed in Hari.

One who builds a temple, makes an idol and installs it goes within his range.

*ఓ కురునందనా! అట్టి జన్మను పొందిన పిమ్మట అతడ గతజన్మపు దివ్యచైతన్యమును పునరిద్ధరించుకొని పూర్ణవిజయమును సాధించుటకు తిరిగి యత్నము కావించును.*

పూర్వజన్మపు ఆధ్యాత్మిక చైతన్యమును జాగృతము చేయుటకు ఉత్తమజన్మ అవసరమనెడి విషయమునకు తన మూడవజన్మను ఉత్తమ బ్రహ్మణవంశములో పొందినట్టి భరతమాహారాజు వృత్తాంతము చక్కని ఉదాహరణమై యున్నది. భరతమాహారాజు సమస్త ప్రపంచమునకు చక్రవర్తియై యుండెను. అతని కాలము నుండియే ఈ లోకము భారతవర్షముగా దేవతాలోకములలో ప్రసిద్ధి నొందినది. పూర్వము ఇది ఇలావృతవర్షముగా తెలియబడెడిది. ప్రపంచాధినేతయైన అతడు ఆధ్యాత్మికసిద్ధిని గోరి యుక్తవయస్సు నందే కర్మల నుండి విరమణను పొందినను జయమును సాధింపలేకపోయెను. 

తత్కారణముగా అతడు జన్మనెత్తవలసి వచ్చినను, మూడవజన్మను ఒక ఉత్తమబ్రాహ్మణుని ఇంట పొందెను. సదా ఏకాంతస్థలములో వసించుచు మౌనియై నిలిచినందున అతడు జడభరతుడని పిలువబడెను. కాని అతడు గొప్పయోగి యని తదనంతరము రహుగణుడను రాజు అవగతము చేసికొనగలిగెను. ఆధ్యాత్మిక యత్నములు (యోగాభ్యాసము) ఎన్నడును వృథా కావని భరతుని ఈ చరిత్ర ద్వారా అవగతమగుచున్నది. అనగా యోగాభ్యాసి శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని కరుణచే కృష్ణభక్తిభావన యందలి పూర్ణత్వమునకై అనుకూల పరిస్థితులను మరల మరల పొందుచునే యుండును.

*On taking such a birth, he revives the divine consciousness of his previous life, and he again tries to make further progress in order to achieve complete success, O son of Kuru.*

🌹 Purport :

King Bharata, who took his third birth in the family of a good brāhmaṇa, is an example of good birth for the revival of previous transcendental consciousness. King Bharata was the emperor of the world, and since his time this planet has been known among the demigods as Bhārata-varṣa. Formerly it was known as Ilāvṛta-varṣa. 

The emperor, at an early age, retired for spiritual perfection but failed to achieve success. In his next life he took birth in the family of a good brāhmaṇa and was known as Jaḍa Bharata because he always remained secluded and did not talk to anyone. And later on he was discovered as the greatest transcendentalist by King Rahūgaṇa. From his life it is understood that transcendental endeavors, or the practice of yoga, never go in vain. By the grace of the Lord the transcendentalist gets repeated opportunities for complete perfection in Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

సఖురాండ్రిద్దరు పలికిన ఈ సుందరమగు మాటను విని పార్వతీ దేవి అదియే హితమని భావించి అట్లు చేయుటకు నిశ్చయించెను (14). తరువాత ఒకనాడు పార్వతి స్నానమాడు చుండగా సదా శివుడు ద్వారపాలకుడగు నందిని గద్దించి ఇంటిలోపలికి వచ్చెన (15). సమయము కాని సమయములో విచ్చేసిన శంకరుని చూచి జగన్మాతయగు ఆ సుందరి స్నానము చేయుచున్నదై సిగ్గుపడి లేచి నాలబడెన (16). ఆ సమయములో మిక్కిలి ఉత్కంఠను పొందిన పార్వతీ దేవి సఖురాండ్ర వచనము హితమును సుఖమును కలిగించునది యని తలపోసెను (17).

11. All the Gaṇas of Rudra carry out the orders of Śiva. They all, Nandin, Bhṛṅgin and others are in a way our own.

12. Pramathas are numerous. But none of them can be called our own. They all stand at the portals, subservient to Śiva’s behests.

13. They also may be called our own but our mind is not in unison with them. Hence, O sinless lady, one, our own must be created.

Brahmā said:—

14. Goddess Pārvatī to whom this charming suggestion was made by the two friends considered it wholesome and resolved to carry it out.

15. Once when Pārvatī was taking her bath, Sadāśiva rebuked Nandin and came into the inner apartment.

16. The mother of the universe, seeing the untimely arrival of Śiva in the midst of her bath and toilet stood up. The beautiful lady was very shy then.

17. The goddess decided that her friend’s suggestion would be conducive to her good and was so enthusiastic.

*మనిషిలోని తేజోవంతమైన అంతఃశక్తి అతనికి ఉండే పూర్తి జీవశక్తుల సమాహారం. మనిషికి ఉండే ఏ శక్తి అయినా ప్రాణం తప్ప మరొకటి కాదు. ఇది ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఒక వ్యక్తి తినే ఆహారం నుండి మాత్రమే రాదు. అగ్నిని మండించడానికి ఇంధనం అవసరం అయినప్పటికీ, ఇంధనం అగ్నితో సమానం కాదు; జ్వలన కోసం పెట్రోల్ అవసరం అయినప్పటికీ పెట్రోల్ నిప్పు కాదు. ఇంధనం ద్వారా పుట్టే వేడికి, ఇంధనానికి వ్యత్యాసం ఉంది. కాబట్టి, ఆహారం తీసుకోవడం ద్వారా శక్తి వేగవంతమవుతుంది, ఉద్ఘాటిస్తుంది మరియు మెరుగు పరచ బడుతుంది. కానీ, అది బలంతో సమానం కాదు. బలం అనేది మనిషిలో ఉన్న సామర్ధ్యం, తన లోపల ఉన్న శక్తి. మనిషి బలాన్ని ఎలా పొందుతాడు?*

*🌻19. Food is Also a Kind of Medicine🌻*

*The vital energy within man is the sum total of his strength. Whatever strength or energy that one has is nothing but the prana. It does not always come just from the food that one eats. Though fuel is necessary to ignite fire, fuel is not the same as fire; petrol is not fire, though petrol is necessary for ignition. There is a difference between the heat, and that which causes the heat to ignite by means of a fuel. So, while energy is accelerated, accentuated, and enhanced by consumption of food, it is not identical with strength itself. Strength is an impersonal capacity that is within man, the force that is inside. How does man gain strength at all?*

*It is not merely from the almonds that he eats, or the milk that he drinks. A corpse also can have food thrust into it; milk may be poured into its mouth, but it cannot gain strength. Any food that is served to the corpse cannot infuse energy into it. Another principle, called vitality, is necessary for the energisation or the digestion of the food that is eaten. Vitality is that which helps the working of the medicine that is taken, but if the vitality is gone, medicine is dead matter. It helps no one. So is the case with food. Food is also a kind of medicine that is taken for the illness of hunger, but it itself cannot provide the energy, unless there is vitality within.*

*అది వాయిద్య పరికరాల సమూహం. ప్రతిదీ ప్రతిదానితో సమశృతిలో వుంటుంది. చెట్లు భూమితో, భూమి గాలితో, గాలి ఆకాశంతో, ఆకాశం నక్షత్రాలతో అలా సమశృతి కొనసాగుతుంది. ఇక్కడ వైరుధ్యం లేదు. ఇక్కడ గడ్డిపోచ కూడా పెద్ద నక్షత్రంలా విలువైనదే. ఉనికి కలిగిందే. అవి రెండూ అస్తిత్వ సంగీత సమ్మేళనంలో అంతర్భాగాలే. అవి రెండు గానాన్ని సంపన్నం చేస్తాయి.*

*పూజ్యురాలా! వస్తువులయొక్క ఆకారము, వాటి గుణములను తెలిసికొనునట్లు చేయుట అనగా వస్తువుల ఆకారము, పరిమాణములు మొదలగు వాని యొక్క జ్ఞాపకమును కలిగించుట, తేజోరూపముగా భాసించుట అనునవి రూపతన్మాత్ర యొక్క వృత్తులు.*

*గుణతా: అంటే ద్రవ్య ఆశ్రయత్వం. ఆధారము లేకుండా ఆధేయం ఉండదు. ద్రవ్యాన్ని ఆశ్రయించి ఉండేది గుణం. గుణము ద్రవ్యము లేకుండా విడిగా ఉండదు. రూపం అంటే గుణం. గుణం అంటే ద్రవ్యాన్ని ఆశ్రయించి ఉండేది.*

*ఒక వ్యక్తిని ఇంకొక వ్యక్తినుండి వేరు చేసేది రూపము. రూపముకు ఈ మూడు గుణాలు ఉన్నాయి.*

*Every form that we appreciate has its particular dimensions and characteristics. The quality of a particular object is appreciated by its utility. But the form of sound is independent. Forms which are invisible can be understood only by touch; that is the independent appreciation of invisible form. Visible forms are understood by analytical study of their constitution. The constitution of a certain object is appreciated by its internal action. For example, the form of salt is appreciated by the interaction of salty tastes, and the form of sugar is appreciated by the interaction of sweet tastes. Tastes and qualitative constitution are the basic principles in understanding the form of an object.*

యమధర్మరాజు చెప్పెను: "దేవ ప్రతిమా నిర్మాణముచేసినవారిని, దానికి పూజలు సలిపిని వారిని మీరు నరకమునకు తీసికొనిరాకూడదు. దేవాలయాదులను నిర్మింపనివారిని మాత్రమే తీసికొనిరావలెను. మీరందరు లోకములో సంచరించుచు నా ఆజ్ఞను పాలింపుడు. ప్రపంచమునందలి ఏ ప్రాణియు మీ ఆజ్ఞను ధిక్కరింపజాలడు. జగత్పిత యైన ఆనంతుని శరణుజొచ్చినవారిని మాత్రము మీరు విడచివేయవలెను. వారి కీ లోకములో నివాసము ఉండదు. 

భగవంతునిపై చిత్తము లగ్నము చేసి, భగవంతుని శరణుజొచ్చినభగవద్భక్తు లగు మహాత్ములను, సదా విష్ణుపూజ చేయువారిని మీరు విడిచివేయవలెమ. నిలచినపుడు గాని, నిద్రించినపుడు గాని, నడచునపుడు గాని, అన్ని వేళలందును శ్రీకృష్ణనామస్మరణము చేయువారి దరికి పోవలదు. నిత్యనైమిత్తికకర్మల ద్వారా జనార్దనుని పూజ చేయువారి వైపు కన్నెత్తి యైనను చూడవలదు. అట్టి భగవద్వ్రతశీలులు భగవంతునే చేరుదురు.

పుష్పములు, ధూపము, వస్త్రములు మొదలగు అలంకారములను సమర్పించి భగవంతుని పూజ చేయువారి జాడలకు పోవలదు. వారు శ్రీకృష్ణుని చేరినవారు. దేవాలయములందు ఆలికి ముగ్గులు వేయువారి పుత్రులను, వంశీయులకను కూడ విడిచివేయవలెను. విష్ణ్వాలయమును నిర్మించినవారి వంశములో నూరు తరములవరకును మీరెవ్వరిని దుష్టభావముతో చూడరూదు. కఱ్ఱతో గాని, మట్టితో గాని, ఱాతితో గానీ విష్ణువులనకు ఆలయము కట్టించినవాడు సమస్తపాపనిర్ముక్తుడగును.

Yama said:

“Those men who build temples of gods and adore the idols are not to be brought to hell.

36. Bring them to my view who have not built temples and other things. Move around in the befitting way and execute my directive.

37. Except those who have resorted to Ananta, the father of the universe, no other beings would at any time disregard the command.

38. Those who are devotees of Viṣṇu and have their mind fixed on him have to be avoided by you. They are not to live here.

39-49. Those who always adore Viṣṇu should be avoided by you from a distance. Those who sing the glories of Govinda while standing or sleeping or walking or standing behind or stumbling or remaining (at a place) are to be avoided by you from a distance. 

Those who worship Janārdana with obligatory and occasional rites are not to be beheld by you. Those who follow this course attain good position. Those who worship (the god) with flowers, incense, raiments, favourite ornaments, (and) those who have gone to the abode of Kṣṣṇa are not to be seized by you. 

Those who besmear with unguents, and those who are engaged in sprinkling his body, their children and their descendants should be left in the temple of Kṛṣṇa. Hundreds of men born in the family of one who has built the temple of Viṣṇu should not be seen by you with evil mind. Whoever builds a temple of Viṣṇu with wood or stone or earth gets free from all sins.

*The real trouble is with people who go on talking and don't know what they are talking about and why. They go on talking because they cannot stop. But if you become a little aware of the whole nonsense and the trouble that goes on in the mind, if you become aware that there is nothing to say, that everything seems to be trivia, then you hesitate. In the beginning it feels as though you are losing the capacity to communicate--it is not so. In fact, people talk not to communicate, but to avoid communication. Soon you will be able to really communicate. Just wait, and don't force anything. If you don't feel like talking, don't--don't say a single word that is not coming to you spontaneously.*

*Don't be worried if people think you are going crazy. Accept it. if they think you have become dumb ,accept it, and enjoy your dumbness! Don't be worried about the silence. One does worry, though, because the whole society exists on talking, on language, and people who are very articulate become very powerful in society-leaders, scholars, politicians, writers. One soon becomes afraid that one is losing one's grip on language, but don't be worried. Silence is the grip on God, and once you mow what silence is, you have something to talk about. Once you have gone deeper into silence, then your words carry meaning for the first time. Then they are not just empty words, they are full of something of the beyond.
